Instafloor Shockpad underlay is designed to sit directly on the subfloor with the full rubber tile on top.

With the escalating cost of rubber tiles this give an extremely cost effective way to achieve highly shock and noise absorbent flooring. Rather than a 30mm+ full rubber tile you can achieve the same thickness with the underlay and thinner top tile.

When the 15mm shockpad is combined with a 15mm tile you achieve 30mm of protection for your subfloor, clients and equipment.

For the ultimate shock and sound protection you can add a layer of OSB board (19mm) over the shockpad, and then add a final layer of rubber.

Installation Example

This premium home gym required 30mm of subfloor protection. We installed the 15mm shockpad with our premium smooth finish 15mm tile. The prowler track was also installed directly into the shockpad rather than the concrete floor which makes it really nice to work out on, protecting both equipment and joints further!
